KING VISION is the seventh release of independent hip-hop/synth-pop sociopaths GRAND BUFFET. The album marks their tenth year as a group and is a definite departure from their previous material. While their requisite low fidelity production is still present, the songs themselves offer a wider range of styles. While some tracks are indeed “hip-hop” tracks, the album also moves in directions of progressive rock, pop, rock-pop, pop-rock, progressive-pop-rock, pop-punk, and even progressive-pop-rock-trip-hop. Lyrically, the main themes of KING VISION are those of individual freedom and self-empowerment (which, believe it or not, haven’t gone out of style).
